By population Kakasd is the medium village in Hungary. Kakasd was first mentioned in 1436, but during the Turkish occupation of Hungary the town became deserted and the village was destroyed. Kakasd name the 1713. figures in yearly censuses again already. German families lived in the 18. century in the village. The
